Sonya Mitchell has worked
undercover alone for some years. Now, her controller is asking her to
join a team of men. She is confident, professional and very good at her
job. She is the best at infiltration and can put on an act that no one
can see through. Her first job requires that no one on the team knows who
she is except for one man and it is him that she has to trust with her
life. A mole is suspected and he needs to be found. After capturing the
mole and proving herself to the rest of the team the real work begins.
The AFM need to be brought down. Infiltration necessary and the job gets
more and more dangerous as it turns out that there were more than one mole
involved…and maybe more! Sonya has to learn whom she can trust and who
not. She needs to sort out her feelings for David and Archer. She could
make mistakes that could cost her, her life.
This is a marvellously,
well-written suspense that this reviewer just could not put down. She was
stuck like glue to her chair and eyes equally glued to the monitor
devouring each page and scrolling rapidly to see what was going to happen
next. This is not truly a romantic suspense, though there are some
emotions involved as there usually are when men and women get together…but
the suspense and plot of this story is the main feature. It is written in
the first person from the viewpoint of the heroine. Multi-dimensional
characters give this story its depth and emotion. The plot is fabulous,
with twists, turns and surprises that will make the reader gasp, groan,
wonder and maybe even cry. This is a highly charged story with one rather
violent scene, but keep reading, it is well worth it. Well done, Ms
Reilly, this reviewer was thoroughly satisfied. It’s a keeper for sure.
The best thing? There will be another story out later this year!
