Every
night for the last six months, Danny waited for the moment to catch a
glimpse of police officer David Pearce, what he doesn’t know is that David
is also attracted to him. A wink of fate brings the two together, but fate
didn’t deal them easy cards. Both of them have problems with their sexual
tendencies and their past. Will they find a way to be together and happy?
DANNY'S DRAGON
is a beautiful and emotional story. It’s the tale of Danny’s coming out
and his attraction toward David. The reader gets to know his insecurities
and the problems that he has with being gay, and the acceptance of his
parents. Danny is a fascinating character, with his Chinese heritage and
his Tao orientated way of life. He is the absolute opposite of David, who
is more the hard guy. David has his own problems with the idea of
beginning a relationship with Danny, because his first and only partner
killed himself and David feels guilty about it. He worries that he isn’t
good enough for Danny, especially because he is his first partner. But
neither David nor Danny thought how powerful true love can be and that it
will overcome all obstacles.
An
interesting addition to this story was also the bits of Tao’s wisdom of
the beginning of each chapter.
If you
want to read a very emotional story, you really have to get a copy of
DANNY'S DRAGON.
It’s a real keeper! This reviewer really hopes that there will be a
sequel.
