Chelian Kar, the High Chancellor’s daughter is a Deliphit. As such, she is forbidden to have physical contact with anyone due to her special abilities. She certainly never expected to have anyone demand her for a mate.

Feeling that he has no time for a woman himself until he achieves his revenge against a corrupt ruler, Fen Dane is on a mission to find women for his men as their planet has no children and no women. The spark that Dane feels when he first sees and touches Chelian upsets all his plans. Now he must have her for his mate.

CELESTIAL DRAGON by Ciara Gold is a wonderful debut novel about two people learning about themselves and each other. Chelian has been an outcast her entire life because she is a Deliphit. It is utterly beyond her comprehension that anyone would want her for herself. Readers will enjoy watching Chelian grow into a strong queen. Dane, up until the time he meets Chelian, has been focused solely on revenge. Even choosing women for his men was part of that plan. There are times that this reader just wanted to smack him up side the head for his single-mindedness and his fears that talking and loving Chelian would weaken him.

While this reviewer found CELESTIAL DRAGON to be slow at times with the dialogue slightly stilted, Ms. Gold’s skill with descriptions makes it all worth while. The different worlds come alive as she paints very distinct pictures with her words. This reviewer is looking forward to the next book in this series, A NOBLE SACRIFICE to see where this talented newcomer takes her readers next.
