“This
Dating Life” columnist Ron Geraci has spent the last four years writing
articles about his adventures and misadventures in dating. In order to
pound out his columns, he dated whomever he could and some dates were good
and others not so good.
Some of the women he
encountered include a lesbian, therapists, and an expensive matchmaker.
THE BACHELOR CHRONICLES is a raw, tell-all look at his escapades.
This
is a book to be read with a good deal of open-mindedness and humour. The
reader will not be able to help feeling sorry for Mr. Geraci in some of
his less than successful dating experiences. Some relationships lasted
longer than others, but all of them are highly entertaining. This reviewer
went into THE BACHELOR CHRONICLES expecting something different,
perhaps a chronological tale of one date after another, but that is not
the case and there is much more to this book that just that. This reviewer
enjoyed the honesty in the male perspectives on what to expect during the
dating rituals. And after reading many of Mr. Geraci’s misadventures in
dating, this reviewer is very happy to be safely married! Women will enjoy
the insight into the male psyche and a glimpse into what a man expects and
wants in the first several months of a relationship. Men just might cringe
at the fact that Mr. Geraci has put to paper their very own thoughts and
feelings. While not what this reviewer expected and after a few hard to
get into pages, THE BACHELOR CHRONICLES has something for everyone.
Sit back and relax, but try not to get sucked into the madness that has
made up Mr. Geraci’s dating life!
