Historical Romance

Marcus Ashford, the seventh Earl of Westfield wants the assignment of protecting Lady Elizabeth Hawthorne.  She has in her possession her late husband’s journal which may or may not be cause of his death.  Marcus has an ulterior motive as Elizabeth jilted him four years ago and Marcus still wants Elizabeth.

Elizabeth left Marcus when she found him with another woman.  She married another man and went on with her life.  With the death of her husband, she is no longer unattainable.  Marcus has had women in the past years but he has found he is unable to wipe Elizabeth from his thoughts.  Marcus feels that if he just beds her, he will then be able to move on.

Marcus is a yummy hero and Elizabeth is no shrinking violet.  Elizabeth and Marcus are two highly sensual as well as very smart characters.  They are a vibrant pair with plenty of chemistry as well as depth.  They just radiate off the pages of this book and this reader could visualize them easily.   Marcus and Elizabeth proceed with an affair but find that it is not just physical but a very real emotional bond they have for each other. The eroticism is like a living thing between them.  The reader felt it every time they are in the same scene together.  Ms. Day does a fabulous job of conveying the intensity of their desires. Turn on your fan or increase the air conditioner when you read this book!!!

ASK FOR IT is the newest historical romance by Sylvia Day.  It is a wonderful story of love lost and love found.  The story moves at a quick pace with tons of action but the heart of it is Elizabeth and Marcus.  It will make you laugh, cry and above all, believe that love rules all.  With this newest historical novel, Ms. Day has definitely become one of the brightest stars in this genre!
