Amy
has left her cheating boyfriend. And has also discovered she is pregnant.
Now her refuge, her brother, has met with a terrible accident that has
left him in a coma. It is up to Amy to save and refurbish the lighthouse,
POINT SURRENDER,
that is Brian and his fiancé’s dream, a
lighthouse that is shrouded in secrets and mystery. Amy is just the snoopy
sort to dig until she has uncovered every last one.
Case limps his crippled
sailboat into Newburg Harbor, California. When he meets Amy, he decides to
stay and help her with her mission and the sparks fly between them. But
will secrets and mysteries of their own come between then before they even
get a chance at love?
The
lighthouse in POINT SURRENDER is patterned after an Oregon
lighthouse, Heceta Head. This reviewer, an Oregonian, has never been
there but after reading POINT SURRENDER a road trip might just be
in order. This reviewer was intrigued with author Anne Carter’s details
and descriptions of this lighthouse. The characters in Ms Carter’s tale
are equally fascinating and kept this reader turning the pages. The man
she thought she loved has hurt Amy. Drew is a cheater who didn’t deserve
her. Now she must get on with her life, just her and her baby. Case has
been hurt as well and isn’t ready for a relationship, but something has
drawn him to Amy. Case is a handsome and caring man, but one that this
reader wanted to crawl through the pages and give a good shake when he
was upset at Amy for her secrets when he has kept some of his own.
A
great tale, very original and unique, POINT
SURRENDER is a book that this reader
is so glad she didn’t miss out on. The romance is rated PG and can be
enjoyed by readers of all ages. A very recommended read so don’t miss out!
