Calli Demour is a born Seralin.  One who watches.  After reading a journal, her soul calls out to it’s author, whose words haunts her days and nights.  She meets Marcus, a vampire and they are both drawn to each other on every level...but it’s forbidden.  Calli is an outcast.  An outcast of the Order she serves and the vampire world.  Marcus and Calli give in to their desires and perform the unspeakable.  Now the Order and the Kindred are out to hunt her and want her dead or alive.  Marcus vows to protect her but there are some that are even more powerful than he.  There are some secrets that just cannot be kept and Calli’s quest for love leads her down a dangerous, deceptive road that she just may not survive. 

FORSAKEN is a dark, seductive read that had this reviewer glued to her monitor.  Ms. Devon takes her reader on a dangerous road of deception and desire and it is one hell of a ride.  Her characters leap from the pages and the reader will be rooting for Calli and Marcus.  The plot was a little bit predictable and this reviewer had it all pretty much worked out what would happen at the end, but it sure was fun anyways getting there.  The darker paranormal is this reviewer’s favorite kind and Ms. Devon has done a wonderful job of giving her readers just the right amount of shivers and gasps.  The love scenes are also tastefully written and were sensual and romantic.  This reviewer will certainly be keeping her eye out for more of Danielle Devon’s work.
