Contemporary Romance

Extreme fighter Dean “Havoc” Conor has received the biggest shock of his life - a letter from his sister Cam, whom he has not seen since they were separated following the death of their parents twenty years ago.  Cam implores him to come to Harmony, Kentucky for a visit and Dean is ready for a break from fighting so he decides to indulge his curiosity about his sisters as well as the hometown he left behind.  Upon his arrival, he meets spitfire Eve Lavon, who just happens to be Cam’s best friend and rescues her from the clutches of sleazy hotel/restaurant owner Roger, who just happens to be Cam’s erstwhile suitor.  After reuniting with Cam and younger sister Jacki, Dean is struck by an inexplicable urge to hang around just a little while longer.

After all, his sisters need the help, and quite frankly, Dean finds Eve too irresistible to leave without exploring where their attraction could lead.  Soon it becomes obvious that someone really wants Dean to get lost all over again.  Will Dean and Eve be able to figure out just who’s CAUSING HAVOC

Ms. Foster has penned a delightful tale chock full of characters who will grab the reader’s full attention and not let go until the last page is turned.  Harmony, Kentucky is an absolutely charming small town full of the expected eccentric characters, nosy neighbors, and general friendliness.  Also, the details provided about the life of an extreme fighter, how he trains, etc. added a different dimension to the tale and explained just how Dean became the man he is.  Sisters Cam and Jacki are wonderfully written, especially Cam’s angst about being involved with a man, that is shall we say, somewhat less than loveable, and Jacki’s need to portray a tough image to the world to hide her marshmallow insides.  Aunt Lorna is deliciously creepy and the mystery stays mysterious until the story’s end.  At times poignant and thrilling, but always sexy, this is a tale with characters this reviewer would love to revisit.  The town of Harmony would be a good place to go as well.  Highly recommended to readers of contemporary romance who like hints of suspense, humor and spice in their reads.
