Hotter After Midnight

Dr. Emily Drake’s patients are unusual. She is a therapist that treats non-humans with their problems. Her unique gift is that she can recognize the Other (creatures of the night that most humans don’t even know exists). Detective Colin Gyth is a shifter. He has hidden that from his human colleagues but his assignment to a murder investigation brings him in contact with Emily. Not only does he have to solve a murder but he has to deal with the emotions that Emily brings forth.

Emily’s career as a therapist is not normal. Her clients are not human but they need therapy just like humans. It makes for an interesting life especially when Colin comes into her life. Emily is a very strong heroine with an unusual talent. She can spot a non-human so it makes it difficult for Colin who is a wolf shifter. Colin is an alpha male to the core. He does his best to assert his power over Emily but it will be a battle of wills. Emily and Colin are fabulous characters. These two are great together! Their relationship is well-written and very enjoyable to watch. Readers will be swept away into their story as they have to deal with their emotions, desires as well as try to solve a murder.

HOTTER AFTER MIDNIGHT is aptly titled. It is truly an explosive story with lots of eroticism! With a very charismatic lead couple that will have temperatures rising and a great storyline; it will be very difficult to put this book down. The world they exist in is fascinating. The author has developed a world that this reader wants to learn more about especially the occupants, we look forward to the next book by this up and coming author.
