The last thing
that Mikhail Fallon, an Alpha operative and Reaper wanted or thought
that he needed was a partner, the Supervisor, true to form, ignored his
wishes and paired Fallon with Keenan McCullough, a gifted Psychic. They
work extremely well together and didn’t take long for them to ‘bond’ and
fall in love. However there are others that aren’t pleased with their
partnership and will do anything needed to break it apart.
DANCING UPON
THE WIND by Charlotte
Boyett-Compo is based in present day United States. Readers are
introduced to an agency called the Exchange which just happens to have
some very unique operatives working for it including Reapers and
psychics. This agency apparently takes care to the things that go bump
in the night. DANCING UPON THE WIND centers upon Fallon and
Keenan’s story though this reviewer is really hoping to see some more
stories based around the Exchange and its unusual personnel.
Ms Boyett-Compo
has done her usual superb job with creating characters that are vivid
enough to come alive, strong yet with weaknesses that cause them to seem
so real. The dialogue between Fallon and Keenan is witty and at times,
downright humorous. The secondary characters really contribute to the
story and will leave the reader guessing on just who is the real
villain.
And if a good
storyline filled with tension, believable characters and hot sex isn’t
enough to draw you in, Ms. Boyett-Compo has a real treat for her Reaper
lovers in Fallon. He is rather unique. Want to learn more? Then be
