Morrigan has finally gotten what she wanted.  A mission that will test her skills to the limit.  She has Byron on her team, but the vampire has so far resisted all her advances.  She’s wanted him for a long time, but his ethics keeps this party girl and assassin at a distance.  He can trust her to do the job, but he’s not ready to trust his heart and soul to her.  A war between humans and super-humans has destroyed an Earth variant and ArchAngel is sending the team back to change the outcome.  Now Morrigan is faced with moral choices.  Choices that could not only change the outcome of this world’s future, but she could finally gain Byron’s trust and love.  One slip could cost all that really, truly matters to her. 

Think of X-Men, think of all the super-hero comics, add some myth and magic and you’ve got an idea what this story is all about.  Saje Williams adds his own special magic to this story and gives his readers an adventure that is breathtaking and exciting.  He creates characters that are interesting and complex.  There are lots of names that readers will recognize from ancient lore and Mr. Williams manages to incorporate them seamlessly into the world he has created.  This reviewer loved this story and can highly recommend it to readers of the futuristic genre.  The underlying romance plays an important part and Morrigan’s soul-searching journey through his story is great to read.  This reviewer wonders if Mr. Williams will one day write somewhat of a graphic sex scene for his fans.
