The old case came
out of nowhere. New bodies were being found, years later, bearing the
markings of a killer who hadn’t been around in years. A killer who’d
gotten away. A killer Lt. Eve Dallas means very much to catch this time
around.
Eve is a
ferociously single-minded woman, and when she draws upon the resources
of husband, her partner, co-workers, as well as her devoted friends,
there isn’t a criminal in the 22nd Century who can easily
evade her reach.
Every hurdle, every
potential threat, simply makes Eve more dedicated to her goal of seeing
her adversary in a cage. She’s earned her reputation for getting the
job done no matter what risks she faces.
That’s what she
does. What she’s known for. Tackling the impossible cases.
This reviewer has
been a fan of this series for years. The interrelationships of all the
different characters, and how they work off of one another, makes any of
these books an entertaining read. Full of grit, humor, and seamless
futuristic extrapolation, the Eve Dallas books work for even those who
don’t like science fiction
As a point of fact,
this reviewer didn’t even realize that they were futuristic at all until
nearly a quarter into the first book.
If you haven’t
tried these books yet, this reviewer recommends that you read this one.
Either before or after you take the time to sit down and read them from
the beginning.
