Historical Inspirational Romance

Maggie Newcomb has never been an accomplished quilter like her mother and sister. And no one knows it better than Emma Jean Stoddard, the mother of the young man that Maggie fancies. So Maggie decides she must learn to become the best quilter in Maintown. But Mrs Stoddard has her eye on another girl for Colby.

Evan Parker has his eye on Tamara as does Colby. Can Maggie and Evan come together to help each other win the hearts of their crushes? Or will they find themselves attracted to each other instead?

Author Judith Pella has another Maintown winner on her hands with SISTER’S CHOICE. We first met Maggie in Bachelor's Puzzle, book one of the Patchwork Circle Series where her sister Ellie wins the heart of Zach. Now it is Maggie’s turn to shine in the second book of the series.

This reader is a huge fan of Judith Pella and SISTER’S CHOICE did not disappoint. Ms. Pella’s characters are absolutely believable, complete with faults all of their own. Maggie is a schemer, but her heart is in the right place. Evan is a shy young man who won this reviewer’s heart from the beginning. And as much as you won’t want to, you will just have to like Tamara, Maggie’s rival. The one character that this reader didn’t care for, besides the stuffy and snobby Mrs. Stoddard, is her son, Colby. But that is ok. These less than likable characters is what makes SISTER’S CHOICE so believable. Ms. Pella is a wonderful author that brings all of her characters to life.

SISTER’S CHOICE is a tightly written story that will leave the reader on their toes, with a bit of suspense tossed in for good measure. Don’t miss out on SISTER’S CHOICE or the first book in the series, Bachelor’s Puzzle. Both books
