This
story delves further into the life of Glory St. Claire and the vampire
community of Austin, Texas. The vampire Westwood is still after her and
sets her vintage boutique on fire. But as if that wasn’t enough her
on/off lover Jeremy Blade leaves town to hunt the vampire hunter, an ex
lover stalks her and she has new enemies who want to steal her energy.
You can say one thing, Glory’s life is really not boring.
Ms.
Bartlett created with Glory a Vampire with very human problems. She is
always worrying if she is too curvaceous and is absolutely cute in the
way she deals with things.
Not
only is Glory a funny and fascinating character but there are many great
secondary characters, like Blade and Valdez.
Normally this reviewer is not a huge fan of first person stories, but
this one is really great.
REAL VAMPIRES LIVE LARGE
is even more action-filled, funny and hotter than the first book of the
series. Sometimes it reminded the reviewer of a Vampire version of Sex
in the City.
The
book is really fun, but this reviewer highly recommends reading REAL
VAMPIRES HAVE CURVES prior to reading REAL VAMPIRES LIVE LARGE,
otherwise you will sometimes lose the overview, because you don’t have
some important background information concerning the relations between
the characters.
A
small warning, Ms. Bartlett’s Vampire stories are very addictive and you
won’t get enough of them so keep your eyes open for REAL VAMPIRES GET
LUCKY, which will be released in June 2008.
