Grace loves
her hometown of Blessing. She is the level headed twin where as her
sister Sophie is the wanderer and dreamer. There is one thing about
Grace that her family has disapproved of and that is the crush she has
on Toby Valders.
Jonathan is
from the city. His father has sent him to Blessing to learn the value of
hard work. No one is as surprised as Jonathan himself when he enjoys his
labor on the farm…and his affection for Grace.
Now Grace
finds herself in a quandary. Who would be she be better suited with; the
city-boy turn nature lover, Jonathan, or the home grown, bit of a bad
boy, Toby?
This reader
missed the first book in
The Daughters Of
Blessing Series
titled A Promise For Ellie. However I did have the pleasure of
reading and reviewing the second book,
Sophie's Dilemma. These books are
stand alone, however you will understand more of secondary characters
should you read the previous books.
A TOUCH OF
GRACE
is the tale of Grace Knutson. Grace is a delightful and proper young
woman who has never dreamed of more than her own back yard. Maybe it has
to do with the fact that she is deaf. Or maybe she is just a home body.
This reviewer can relate to the latter. Grace is one of those characters
that will warm the reader’s heart, as is Jonathan. He has grown up
privileged and his father wants to give him a taste of how the other
half lives. And Jonathan soon learns he loves nature and the hard work
on the farm. Almost as much as he loves Grace. But can he give up his
dream of college and life in the city?
Lauraine
Snelling has a talented pen. Her prose flows smoothly and her characters
come to life within the pages of her stories. This reader looks forward
to reading many more offerings from Ms Snelling. There are many more
characters in The
Daughters Of Blessing Series
and hopes that soon Ms Snelling will be putting pen to paper in creating
another wonderful story from Blessing.
