Lu is the drummer for the Shifter Sisters, a band with two other female members.  One’s a cat, one’s a vampire who hates the sight of blood and one’s a werewolf who turns into a bitch at that time of the month.  Lu just wants love and acceptance but seems to only choose losers.  After the betrayal of her current lover, she goes off by herself and stumbles upon the most gorgeous man, sitting alone, playing his guitar and singing....then he masturbates.  Later, he comes to the club to talk to her.  Tori, senses that this is the one for Lu, but can Lu make this commitment when she has to hide half of herself?  Sean is everything Lu could want in a man and more.  He seems to like her and Lu is falling fast. 

This is a wonderful story with lots of emotion.  Sierra Dafoe has written three very different characters that make up the Shifter Sister band, and in this first book, Lu is the main character.  The reader will fall in love for sure with her hero, Sean.  He’s big, handsome and Irish....oooooh!!!  This is a very entertaining story, also poignant and will get emotions running.  You may even need a tissue.  The sex scenes are really hot, sensual but oh so very romantic.  This reviewer did find one discrepancy.  Lu bites a human, then later is asked if her bite would turn someone into a werewolf, to which she replies that she has never bitten a human.  But apart from that...a fantastic read.  This reviewer is looking forward to reading the next two stories in this series.
