Contemporary Romance

When Melissa Cummings began to drive home, she never expected to become a nanny. After almost running over a small boy, she couldn’t turn down the job. The runaway family were hiding out in Gregory Finch’s cottage. Between looking out for the runaways, Alice Ann and Benny her pet, the pigs and wishing Gregory was hers, Melissa is kept very busy.

Gregory is a man of integrity, so she’s sure he wouldn’t be keen on her hiding a small family in his cottage.

As their attraction to each other grows, Gregory isn’t really sure what it is about the zany red head that makes him want her. His life is complicated enough, but he does love her cooking and the house has never been cleaner. Melissa of course has other secrets, besides her desire for the daunting man she does her best to keep away from the cottage.

This is a delightful and refreshing tale of finding love in the most unexpected places. Who would have thought a pig farm could harbor such a gorgeous man. With a sweet daughter and of course Benny who became the star in a most interesting style, this reviewer really enjoyed those scenes. The tone of the story was a mix of light and dark with a generous amount of surprises. The flow was excellent with a good mix of high and low points. The main characters were delightful and the mood was brightened by Alice Ann. The conflict was interesting as the heroine tried to hold it all together. She also wanted to do something big, it took her a while to figure out what was big, the reader is left with a very warm feeling as this book finishes. A recommended read, if you want to relax and be engrossed in a complicated life.
