Miranda is the
bait. She has sworn to bring down the dragon and as a knight, she knows
he cannot refuse her challenge. She needs all the dragonlore she can
get to best this dragon, because we all know, a dragon never loses.
Sarkany has collected quite a hoard of treasure, including quite a bit
of a small New England city. His wheelings and dealings have caused a
lot of heartache, made people homeless and he knows the knights are out
to get him. When Miranda issues her challenge, give it all away or get
out, he can’t help but accept. Especially when the prize is so sweet.
If he wins, she becomes his. He’s used to chewing up and spitting out,
but Miranda is getting to him, and it may just cost him his heart.
This reviewer
really enjoyed this story. It was suspenseful, touching, romantic and
sometimes humorous. This reviewer especially loved the banter between
Sarkany and Miranda. Both characters are really well written, and Ms.
Devon keeps the reader on her toes wondering just where their
relationship will go. There is a lot of conflict in this story that
keeps the reader scrolling those cyber pages. This reviewer was always
wondering, is Sarkany really such a bad guy, is he redeemable? The
sexual tension runs very high in this story. It will grip the reader
and hold her firm. It was a delightful read and Ms. Devon has again
proven that she is indeed a talented writer. This reviewer highly
recommends this little treat and knows that the reader will enjoy it as
much as she did.
