Suspense

Bonnie Wheeler is warned by her husbands ex-wife that she and her child are in danger.  She goes to meet her and finds her dead, murdered.  From this moment on, her whole life changes.  She’s always been healthy, but suddenly she’s sick, tired, vomiting and doesn’t know why.  Until she visits a doctor and finds out that she is being poisoned.  Just what are the dead woman’s secrets.  Why did her husband really divorce his first wife?  Now she can trust no one, not her husband who is mostly away at work, her step-children, her friends.  The police don’t seem to be very helpful, and she desperately needs to find out who wants her dead.  Thankfully she finds help from an unexpected source and a new friend.

This is a tight, gripping story that will have the reader turning the pages frantically.  This reviewer could hardly put it down, the suspense is so high.  The possibilities of who the killer could be change in every chapter and this reviewer did not see the ending coming at all.  The plot is intricate, the characters multi-dimensional.  It’s a story to make you gasp and shiver, it’s a wonderful suspenseful ride that will have you shivering in your seat.  Ms Fielding cleverly manipulates the reader, giving her a story well worth the money spent on the book and leaves her sighing with relief at the end.  This reviewer hasn’t read a more masterfully, crafted story.  This reviewer can highly recommend Joy Fielding for lovers of suspense.  You won’t be disappointed.
