Jessie is a wonderful character, brave and headstrong. This reviewer loved how she did everything she could for those less fortunate than herself, even at the risk of her own safety. Jessie has two men vying for her attention. Both are worthy men, but one will stand out above the other. Will the best man win? You will have to purchase BLESSED ASSURANCE to find out!

LOST IN HIS LOVE: Social activist Lincoln Wagstaff has come to San Francisco not only for his activism. His purpose includes heiress Cecilia Jackson who must discover her past to move on with her future.

Lincoln is the son of Jessie in Whispers of Love. The only thing this reader was saddened about is the lack of the character of Jessie in this novel. Cecilia and Linc are wonderful characters that will delight the reader. Author Lyn Cote takes the readers on their fight against child labour as a budding romance blossoms. There are a few secondary characters that this reader loved to hate, Cecilia’s aunt being one of them. This instalment of BLESSED ASSURANCE is probably this reader’s favourite of the three.

ECHOES OF MERCY: Meg Wagstaff must travel from California to New Orleans to save her childhood friend from the hangman’s noose. Del has been charged with the murder of his boss.

ECHOES OF MERCY is the third story BLESSED ASSURANCE. Meg is the daughter of Lincoln from the story LOST IN HIS LOVE, making the tale of the third generation. Meg will delight the reader. She is a woman with her own mind, and one that follows her heart. Del is a black man fighting against racial barriers of the 1920’s in the south. Can Meg find the evidence to prove his innocence and save her life-long friend when so many others are just willing to let him go down for a crime he didn’t commit? Will she find a second chance at love?

This reader loved all three stories in BLESSED ASSURANCE. There are life lessons to be learned in each of these tales. The only thing this reviewer wished to see that wasn’t there, is more of each character in the proceeding book. And if the question of whatever happened to Jessie was answered, this reader missed it.

BLESSED ASSURANCE is highly recommended by this reader. Faith is put to the test. While these tales have an inspirational thread, it isn’t in the fore-front most of the time, but is always just under the surface. BLESSED ASSURANCE is sure to touch every reader. There is something in there for everyone.
